King's exam

 Today is the birth anniversary of Sant Kabir Das.  Best wishes On this auspicious occasion, we are sharing with you an inspiring passage of his life with you. King's exam .The fame of Kabir Das, who had a simple life and high views, spread far and wide, and Bir Singh, the King of Benaras was also one of the devotees of Kabir Das Ji.  Whenever Kabirdas went to meet the king, the king himself would sit at the feet of Kabir Das ji and make him sit on the throne. One day Kabir Das thought that if Bir Singh was tested, he was really such a great devotee as  His behavior is visible or just a sham. 

     The very next day he set out in the markets of Benares with a cobbler and a female devotee, who was the first prostitute, chanting the name Ram.  And at the same time, he held two bottles in his hand, which contained colored water, but it looked like alcohol. By doing this Kabir Das gave his enemies a chance to finger him, he was opposed throughout the city and the news of him walking in the city with a cobbler and a prostitute in his hand also reached the king. 

      After some time Kabir Das ji reached the royal court as planned;  The king was already upset with his behavior.  And this time, seeing them, he did not get up from his throne. Kabir immediately understood that kings are like common people;  He immediately slammed both bottles on the ground. Seeing them doing this, the king thought, "A drunk can never throw a bottle of liquor like this, is there anything else in the bottles ??"The king immediately got up and took the cobbler with Kabir Das ji and asked him, "What is all this?"The cobbler said, "Hey Maharaj, you don't know, Jagannath temple is on fire and Sant Kabir Das is extinguishing the fire with water filled in these bottles."

      The king took note of the day and time of the incident and later sent an envoy to the Jagannath temple to ascertain the truth of the matter.
  
    People living around the temple confirmed that there was a fire in the temple on the same day and time, which was extinguished.  When the king came to know of this truth, he repented his behavior and his faith in Sant Kabir Das became stronger.
